About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter Assistant to join our team at Canadian Glass Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload construction materials from vehicles and equipment.
  • Material Handling: Transport materials to and from construction sites, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing delays.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by leveling earth, cleaning up debris, and performing routine maintenance tasks.
  • Task Execution: Carry out tasks such as mixing, pouring, and spreading materials like concrete and asphalt, as well as cleaning and piling salvaged materials.
  • Support and Maintenance: Provide support to the construction team by cleaning up chemical spills, removing rubble, and performing other tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Work Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job.
  • Work Setting: Various locations, with a focus on construction sites.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
