About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter Assistant to join our team at Downtown Mohali Developments Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Construction Materials: Assist in the safe and efficient transportation of materials to and from construction sites.
  • Erect and Dismantle Concrete Forms, Scaffolding, Ramps, Catwalks, Shoring, and Barricades: Collaborate with experienced carpenters to set up and dismantle temporary structures on construction sites.
  • Mix, Pour, and Spread Materials: Assist in the preparation and application of concrete and asphalt on construction sites.
  • Assist in Drilling and Blasting Rock: Support experienced drillers and blasters in the extraction of rock on construction sites.
  • Assist in Framing Houses, Erecting Walls, and Building Roofs: Collaborate with experienced carpenters to construct and assemble building frames, walls, and roofs.
  • Level Earth to Fine Grade Specifications: Assist in ensuring the accuracy and precision of earth leveling on construction sites.
  • Assist in Demolishing Buildings: Support experienced demolition teams in the safe and controlled removal of buildings.
  • Clean Up Chemical Spills and Other Contaminants: Assist in the prompt and effective cleanup of chemical spills and other contaminants on construction sites.
  • Tend or Feed Machines or Equipment: Assist in the operation and maintenance of construction equipment and machinery.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: This role requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Repetitive Tasks: The successful candidate will be able to perform repetitive tasks with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Overtime Required: This role may require working overtime to meet project deadlines.
  • Weight Handling: The successful candidate will be able to lift and handle materials up to 23 kg (50 lbs) with ease.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn from experienced carpenters and construction professionals.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work overtime as required.
