CENTRE DIRECTOR

The organization is seeking to appoint a full-time Centre Director for its childcare facility. The Centre Director will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the childcare center, which includes recruitment, administrative duties, and financial oversight. Candidates with a background in Early Childhood Education, particularly those working towards a Level III classification, are encouraged to consider this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the execution and delivery of culturally relevant programming and curriculum, integrating the Circle of Security Philosophy;
  2. Manage the registration process for children;
  3. Handle the collection of fees from parents and subsidies;
  4. Prepare reports and manage inclusion support payments;
  5. Establish collaborations with external agencies, resources, and community partners;
  6. Maintain positive public relations with all stakeholders;
  7. Participate in the preparation of the annual budget;
  8. Oversee and manage the center's financial budget.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. A degree in Child Development or an ECE III Diploma, or an Advanced ECE III Diploma;
  2. A minimum of three years of experience in a Centre Director position or a similar role with proven ability to deliver effective programs and services;
  3. Familiarity with Fastoche is required, or a willingness to learn;
  4. Circle of Security Certification is a plus;
  5. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills;
  6. A clear Vulnerable Sector Check, Criminal Record Check, and Child Abuse Registry Check;
  7. Knowledge of Métis culture and relevant programs and services is a significant advantage;
  8. Willingness to travel, possessing a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
