Job Summary:

The Manitoba Métis Federation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Centre Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Li Pchi Taanfaan Childcare Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the centre's administration, finances, and staff, while ensuring the delivery of high-quality Métis-specific programming and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Métis-specific programming and curriculum, incorporating the Circle of Security Philosophy.
  • Manage the registration of children and collection of parent and subsidy fees.
  • Prepare and submit reports, including inclusion support payments.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with outside agencies, resources, and community partners.
  • Maintain public relations with all stakeholders, including parents, staff, and community members.
  • Participate in annual budget preparation and manage the centre's budget.

Requirements:

  • Child Development Degree or ECE III Diploma, Advanced ECE III Diploma.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a Centre Director role or relevant role with demonstrated ability to deliver programs and services.
  • Knowledge and experience with Fastoche required, or a willingness to learn.
  • Circle of Security Certificate an asset.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Check, Criminal Record Check, and Child Abuse Registry Check.
  • Knowledge of Métis culture, MMF programs, and services is a definite asset.
  • Ability to travel, valid Manitoba Driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle.
