Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Metal Cleaning Equipment: Safely operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal products.
  • Transport Materials and Equipment: Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant manually, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Cleaning and Preparation: Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions, sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials, and clean machines and immediate work areas.
  • Assist Metalworkers: Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers as needed.
  • Read and Interpret Work Orders: Read and interpret work orders to ensure accurate completion of tasks.
  • Operate Metalworking Machines: Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal, adhering to safety guidelines.
