Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Metal Fabrication Assistant to join our team at Malach Metal and Machining. As an Industrial Metal Fabrication Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our metal fabrication team in the production of high-quality metal products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal product surfaces.
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant manually.
  • Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions.
  • Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers.
  • Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas.
  • Polish metal products to a mirror finish.
  • Read and interpret work orders.
  • Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal.
  • Cut materials using power tools or by hand.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • The work environment is physically demanding, requiring attention to detail and the ability to perform tasks that involve bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
