Job Summary

Skyworks, a leading innovator of high-performance analog semiconductors, is seeking a talented Co-Op student to join our Diversified Analog Solutions team in Ottawa. As a RF Application Engineer Co-Op, you will be responsible for assisting our application engineering group members with customer support activities, participating in new integrated circuit and module product test activities, and contributing to lab testing of RF circuits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support application engineering group members with customer support activities, including device evaluation and customer board tuning and testing.
  • Assist in the development and testing of new integrated circuit and module products.
  • Participate in lab testing of RF circuits, presenting test results, and participating in customer SCH/Layout reviews.
  • Complete small projects and task assignments of varying complexity, including device characterization, test environment programming, and documentation.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a BS or MS Electrical Engineering (or related) degree program.
  • Knowledge of basic electronic circuits and principles.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (Excel, PPT, and Word) and have an aptitude for quickly learning other company-specific software.
  • Knowledge in RF parameters (insertion loss, return loss, harmonics, IMD, IIP2/3, VSWR, NF, etc.) is preferred.
  • Experience in using test equipment and tools such as multi-meter, oscilloscope, VNA, spectrum analyzer, RF sources, and soldering tools is preferred.
  • Good communication, organization, and documentation skills and be willing to work in a lab hands-on environment.
