Job Summary

We are seeking a talented university student to join our Diversified Analog Solutions team in Ottawa as a RF Application Engineer Co-Op. This 12-month Co-Op opportunity will start in January 2025 and provide a unique chance to apply sound engineering skills to a variety of tasks in the area of WiFi / IoT device evaluation and customer board tuning and testing.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist application engineering group members with customer support activities.
  2. Contribute to new integrated circuit and module product test activities.
  3. Lab test RF circuits, present test results, and participate in customer SCH/Layout reviews.
  4. Complete small projects and task assignments of varying complexity, including device characterization, test environment programming, and documentation.
Requirements
  1. Candidate must be currently enrolled in a BS or MS Electrical Engineering (or related) degree program.
  2. Knowledge of basic electronic circuits and principles.
  3. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PPT, and Word) and willing to learn company-specific software.
  4. Knowledge of RF parameters (insertion loss, return loss, harmonics, IMD, IIP2/3, VSWR, NF, etc.) is preferred.
  5. Experience with test equipment and tools such as multi-meter, oscilloscope, VNA, spectrum analyzer, RF sources, and soldering tools is preferred.
  6. Good communication, organization, and documentation skills, with a willingness to work in a lab hands-on environment.

The typical pay range for an intern is CAD $44.00 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on level of education and job duties.
