About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative research and knowledge management lawyer to join our Legal team at the World Anti-Doping Agency. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing knowledge management strategies, leading digital transformation with the department, and enhancing the efficiency of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Act as Legal lead for digital transformation projects affecting legal operations and knowledge management.
  2. Work with IT and other departments regarding various information systems to ensure consistency with the World Anti-Doping Code and International Standards.
  3. Identify and assess technological solutions to improve efficiency of legal operations.
  4. Implement identified IT solutions, conducting necessary testing/validation and trainings.
  5. Establish and implement a knowledge management strategy for the department.
  6. Create and curate internal knowledge (e.g. guides, templates, precedents).
  7. Conduct in-depth legal research.
  8. Prepare reports and summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
  9. Stay up-to-date and support legal team in staying up to date on relevant legal developments.
  10. Support team members as needed with any research or knowledge management needs.
Qualifications and Skills
  1. Qualified lawyer, with a minimum of 5 years' legal experience with a focus on research/knowledge management.
  2. Master's degree in library and information science, an asset.
  3. Strong understanding of legal databases, research tools, and knowledge management systems.
  4. Familiarity with legal technologies and their applications in legal research and knowledge management.
  5. Experience collaborating with IT teams in developing and/or integrating databases and information management systems.
  6. Strong work ethic, creative thinker, and a self-starter.
  7. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
  8. Excellent oral and written skills in one of the two WADA official languages (English/French) and very good command of the other official language; additional languages would be an asset.
  9. Periodic work in the evening or on weekends.
