Compensation: The salary range for this position is $110,000-$140,000 per year (USD).

Location: This is a remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in Canada.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Senior Exploration Geologist, you will collaborate closely with our Data Science team to guide and validate the generation and quality of high-probability targets. Your geoscience expertise will be integral to the success of our AI/ML Targeting Platform, which is central to our innovation strategy.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating new areas of interest and projects based on your geoscience background and data-driven approach.
  • Generating high-quality geoscientific data for input into the Targeting Platform.
  • Validating generated targets through both desktop analysis and field expeditions.
  • Building compelling geoscientific narratives to present to potential partners.
  • Maintaining technological leadership in the geoscience domain and representing VerAI in various professional communities.

Qualifications:

  • MSc Degree in a relevant Geoscience discipline from an accredited institution.
  • 8-12 years of experience in leading mineral exploration and developing targeting teams.
  • Strong background in multi-commodity and multi-jurisdiction geoscience targeting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of mineral discovery challenges, particularly in covered terrains.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including strategy development and budget management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Hands-on experience in field operations, including logistics and safety compliance.
  • Proficiency in GIS applications, preferably QGIS.
