Manufacturing Operations Supervisor

Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Operations Supervisor is a vital contributor within our production facilities during the afternoon shift. This role requires a leader who can coach and motivate team members to achieve exceptional outcomes. With a strong commitment to safety, you will foster an environment where safety is prioritized. You excel in a dynamic setting and possess a strong inclination towards continuous improvement. Your collaborative approach encourages team members to share innovative ideas freely.Daily Responsibilities:
- Ensure product quality, allocate tasks to employees, set priorities, and troubleshoot issues.
- Oversee production staff, meet production targets, verify and enforce manufacturing protocols, and manage shipping and receiving in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Demonstrate initiative and sound judgment in everyday operational decisions.
- Promote a safe workplace by instructing and guiding employees on equipment usage while adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
- Work towards minimizing workplace incidents, participate in accident investigations, and play an active role in managing workplace injury cases to facilitate the safe return of employees.
- Develop, lead, manage, train, and inspire team members by clearly communicating job expectations, evaluating performance, and providing timely feedback.
- Implement and uphold company policies and procedures.
- Commit to the Food Safety standards and the mission of the facility.
Qualifications:
- A secondary school education is required.
- Previous experience in a production environment is essential.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and proactive approach.
- A commitment to continuous learning and adaptability to change while achieving results.
- Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices is necessary.
- Strong verbal communication skills in a diverse environment, with the ability to handle various employee relations matters.
- Proficient written communication skills for drafting reports and correspondence across departments.
- Basic math skills relevant to daily production metrics.
- Problem-solving abilities with a readiness to take calculated risks.
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Proficient in MS Office and other software applications relevant to operations.
