Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated **Plumbing Technician Apprentice** to join our team at **Rodwell Mechanical & Plumbing Corporation**. This is a **permanent position** offering a dynamic work environment where you will gain hands-on experience in the plumbing industry.

Work Environment

The role involves working in various settings, including:

**Physical demands** include working in confined spaces and wet conditions, with the expectation of handling physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to establish plumbing layouts
  • Instructing and guiding apprentices
  • Identifying and marking locations for pipe connections and fixtures
  • Cutting openings in walls and floors for pipe installation
  • Connecting pipes using various methods such as soldering and welding
  • Coordinating personnel and equipment schedules
  • Conducting tests for leaks using pressure gauges
  • Determining system requirements and pipe sizing
  • Supervising junior staff
  • Measuring and shaping pipes as needed
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • **Trade certifications** including Backflow Prevention and Plumber Trade Certification
  • Experience in the plumbing field, ideally between 3 to 5 years
  • Completion of **level two to five apprenticeship training**
