Job Title: Continuous Improvement Specialist

Metrie is seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Specialist to lead our Pre-finished Wood Products (PWP) business in driving operational excellence and improving manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lean strategies to improve manufacturing safety, quality, service, cost, and delivery lead times
  • Support and lead the implementation of new machinery, technology, and processes to enhance productivity and efficiency
  • Develop, analyze, and report on key metrics (KPIs) and data to support problem-solving and decision-making
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to drive business growth and profitability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members to ensure successful project execution
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Operations Management preferred
  • 3-7 years of experience in leading business transformation and process improvement initiatives
  • Strong change management skills and experience required
  • Formal Lean and Six Sigma training from an accredited organization preferred
  • Proven success in designing and meeting KPI goals, including reducing supply chain costs and improving through-put
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills
