Job Title: Continuous Improvement Specialist

Metrie is seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Specialist to lead our Pre-finished Wood Products (PWP) business in driving operational excellence and lean transformation. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and executing operational improvements that drive measurable results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lean strategies to improve manufacturing safety, quality, service, cost, and delivery lead times
  • Support and lead the implementation of new machinery, technology, and processes to enhance operational efficiency
  • Develop, analyze, and report on key metrics (KPIs) and data to support problem-solving and decision-making
  • Identify and develop continuous improvement plans to drive long-term sustainability and growth
  • Actively grow employee engagement by fostering a culture of teamwork, cooperation, and continuous improvement
  • Teach lean and CI tools and methodologies to team members
  • Facilitate Kaizen/CI events to drive innovation and improvement
  • Share learnings and best practices with other manufacturing businesses (15% travel possible)
  • Provide leadership and be a lean voice on the PWP Leadership Team
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Operations Management preferred
  • 3-7 years of leading business transformation and change management experience
  • Formal lean and Six Sigma training from an academy organization preferred
  • Personal experience in leading Kaizen events and designing KPI goals
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills
  • Experience working with high-performing teams and project management
