About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at TOR-CRETE Limited. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a cement mixer truck and ensuring the efficient transportation of materials to various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
  • Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Operational Tasks: Perform tasks such as overseeing the condition of the vehicle, inspecting equipment, and performing preventive maintenance.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess a valid Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and a Driver's License (Class 3 or D).
  • Communication and Navigation: Operate GPS and other navigation equipment to ensure efficient transportation.
  • Financial Benefits: As per collective agreement, with a permanent work term and 40 hours of work per week.
Requirements
  • Experience in the cement industry or a related field.
  • Valid certifications and licenses.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and navigation skills.
