Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our Human Resources Services Team, you will provide administrative support to our Director of Human Resources, Human Resources Consultants, and Human Resources Associate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide efficient reception services at the Human Resources Services counter
  • Act as a liaison with departments and staff at all levels
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and take and relay messages
  • Take meeting minutes and answer inquiries
  • Maintain an accurate employee filing system
  • Follow up on problems related to completion of required paperwork
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and perform various administrative tasks
  • Assist with special projects and arrange appointments, meetings, and interviews
  • Review incoming correspondence and handle material that does not require attention from the Consultant
  • Record keeping and computation of statistics
  • Back up to ESP Administrator for payroll runs and primary contact for Success Factors trouble shooting
Requirements
  • One year of previous office experience in the Human Resources field, preferably in a large unionized environment
  • Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required
  • Successful completion of a recognized secretarial training program required
  • Successful completion of a Human Resources Management Certificate
  • Typing 50 wpm
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required
  • Knowledge of ESP, SAP, and SuccessFactors
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to set up spreadsheets and databases
  • File management and data entry experience
  • Demonstrated experience in a customer service role, effectively handling a variety of inquiries and communicating with all levels of staff and the public
  • Ability to use discretion and tact when providing information and/or referring questions as appropriate within the Centre or to outside agencies
  • Ability to work effectively under stress and meet deadlines
Working Conditions
  • Fast-paced, high-stress environment with a heavy workload
  • Frequent interruptions and lack of workspace
  • Significant interaction with staff and public
  • Physical activities including climbing, step ladder, and bending and reaching for files
Security Clearance

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
