About the Role

Arup is seeking a highly skilled Senior Renewable Energy Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our renewable energy team, you will be responsible for designing and developing large-scale renewable energy facilities, including solar, wind, and energy storage systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and layout solar, wind, and other renewable energy facilities and related site infrastructure in collaboration with senior engineering staff.
  • Perform engineering and design calculations, including power system economic evaluations.
  • Deliver various aspects of solar and renewable energy system design, such as the proper sizing of AC and DC cabling systems.
  • Act as a project manager or deputy project manager for utility-scale renewable planning and design projects.
  • Delegate and direct the activities of junior engineering staff where appropriate to their skill and ability.
  • Prioritize tasks to ensure quality deliverables and customer satisfaction while adhering to budget.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience, with at least 4 years' experience in the renewable power generation sector.
  • P. Eng license desired and eligible to obtain P. Eng license in Ontario or Alberta.
  • Experienced with PVSyst, CADD/PLSCADD software, modelling, design and/or analysis software preferred.
  • Strong technical communication skills (writing and verbal) and ability to read and interpret technical literature and engineering plans.
