Job Title: Financial Controller

Forge Consulting Group is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing our financial strategy.

Job Summary:

The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for the organization, in conjunction with the Board of Directors. This includes creating, coordinating, and evaluating financial programs and supporting information systems, as well as ensuring compliance with local, provincial, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial strategies and plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, and special analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws.
  • Manage cash flow and forecasting.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial planning and budgeting align with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including banks and investors.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Experience with financial planning and budgeting software.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and laws.
