We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Commercial Markets Director. As a key member of our Commercial Financial Services (CFS) team, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of business strategies to drive growth and profitability in the commercial markets segment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of large commercial clients, taking responsibility for the overall relationship strategy within the client's RBC relationship team.
  • Provide exceptional client service by delivering proactive and customized business and financial advice, demonstrating a deep understanding of your clients' business and industry.
  • Acquire and grow Senior Commercial Markets client relationships, collaborating with the client relationship team and bringing the full breadth of RBC to businesses, business owners, and their employees.
  • Work in close partnership and collaboration with CFS Finance to manage and support complex client credit needs, demonstrating strong credit acumen, as well as sound risk mitigation and portfolio oversight.
  • Foster internal and external strategic partnerships and centres of influence (COIs) to meet the business' strategic goals while focusing on target market clients.
  • Ensure clients are enabled to leverage digital solutions for themselves and their business.

Requirements

  • University degree, ideally in Commerce or Business Administration, with strong financial analysis skills.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' commercial banking experience.
  • Proven track record in business development and exceptional client relationship management skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Deep knowledge of banking products and services, including industry specialized knowledge, as applicable.
  • Experience and comfort with emerging technology (e.g. video conferencing, social media, digital banking, and mobile applications).
