IT Systems Administrator

Role Summary
This position is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence for at least three days a week. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our Windows environments and ensuring the reliability of our internal and external services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily support for a variety of Windows environments to ensure high availability of services.
- Implement new Windows Server infrastructure to align with business objectives.
- Collaborate with network and hardware teams to troubleshoot issues and proactively monitor system performance.
- Maintain a strong focus on security by applying best practices, conducting patch management, and monitoring for vulnerabilities.
- Work with team members to develop strategies for automation and deployment processes.
- Contribute to the design of new solutions and offer insights for the enhancement of existing infrastructure.
- Engage in Agile sprints as necessary.
The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker with a creative mindset, capable of taking initiative and adapting to evolving organizational priorities. A strong focus on customer service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently are essential.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Data Communications/Networking, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of:
- Windows system management and virtualization technologies.
- Office 365 suite (including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
- Office 365 migration processes.
- Azure cloud services.
- Active Directory, LDAP, and SSO.
- PowerShell or other scripting languages for automation.
- Mobile Device Management solutions (such as ABM, Knox, Intune).
- Backup and recovery technologies.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to provide on-call support as needed.
