Position Overview

Eastlink, a family-owned and innovative telecommunications provider, is seeking a dedicated Systems Administrator to support our diverse Windows environments. This role is hybrid, requiring in-office presence at least three days a week.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide daily support for highly available Windows systems that deliver services to both internal and external stakeholders.
  2. Implement new Windows Server infrastructure to align with business objectives.
  3. Collaborate with network and hardware teams to troubleshoot issues, offer recommendations, and monitor systems proactively.
  4. Maintain a strong focus on security by applying best practices, performing patch management, and monitoring for vulnerabilities.
  5. Work with team members to develop strategies for automation and deployment processes.
  6. Contribute to the design of new solutions and suggest improvements for existing infrastructure management.
  7. Engage in Agile sprints as necessary.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is an analytical and creative thinker who takes initiative and adapts to changing organizational priorities. With a strong customer focus, you are an effective communicator, comfortable interacting across departments, and an ambitious contributor eager to learn new technologies.

Qualifications
  1. Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Data Communications/Networking, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  2. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of:
  • Windows system management and virtualization technologies.
  • Office 365 suite (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
  • Office 365 migration processes.
  • Azure cloud services.
  • Active Directory, LDAP, and SSO.
  • PowerShell or other automation scripting languages.
  • Mobile Device Management solutions (ABM, Knox, Intune).
  • Backup and recovery technologies.
Additional Skills
  1. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  2. Demonstrated experience in coordinating multiple projects successfully.
  3. Willingness to provide on-call support as needed.
