About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team in a community setting. As a Community Occupational Therapist, you will work with clients who require support in their daily lives due to various physical, cognitive, or psychosocial impairments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans to help clients achieve their goals
  • Provide in-home and hospital discharge assessments, ergonomic assessments, concussion treatment, cognitive rehabilitation, mental health treatment, and other interventions
  • Work with clients to support their successful and sustainable return to work through onsite functional and cognitive functional work capacity assessments
  • Complete job site assessments, ergonomic assessments, cognitive abilities evaluations, and provide workplace accommodation recommendations
  • Conduct in-vivo exposure therapy and behavioral activation, and facilitate trauma processing, coping, and return to function
Requirements
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • Clinical experience in areas such as brain injury rehabilitation, mental health, musculoskeletal and orthopedic injury, home safety, ergonomics, and/or return to work
  • Willingness to provide in-vivo OT treatment in various settings, including clients' homes, workplaces, and/or in the community
  • Passion about the profession, commitment to ongoing professional development, and dedication to providing excellent client care
  • Ability to thrive in a self-directed and independent environment
  • Strong organizational skills, critical thinking, decision-making, and analytic skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, empathy, and ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders
