Key Responsibilities:- Provide staff with support and guidance in all areas of their classroom, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to deliver high-quality care and education.
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the centre, including managing staff schedules, coordinating activities, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Assist in a classroom with an understanding of ratios and requirements, ensuring that our children receive the best possible care and education.
- Identify the needs of the classroom with regards to set up and materials, ensuring that our educators have the necessary resources to deliver engaging and effective programs.
- Respond to emails and other communications in a timely and professional manner, ensuring that our parents and staff are informed and supported.
- Provide staff with feedback based on observations in the program, helping them to grow and develop in their roles.
- Assist staff in conducting parent/teacher interviews, ensuring that our parents are informed and involved in their child's education.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, parents, and coworkers, ensuring that our centre is a positive and supportive community.
- Participate in school special activities and celebrations, helping to build a sense of community and connection among our staff and families.
- Provide quality tours to new families looking to enroll in Simply Smart child care, showcasing our centre and programs.
- Ensure that the centre is clean and any maintenance issues are documented and reported for repair, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our children.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times, upholding the values and standards of our centre.
- Follow and implement health and safety protocols, using a variety of tools and resources to ensure the well-being of our children and staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the smooth operation of our centre and the success of our programs.
- Maintain knowledge, skills, and abilities through ongoing education and professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry standards.
- Ensure program compliance with all Ministry and program standards, including CCEYA and CCMA.
- Be responsible and independent, taking ownership of your work and contributing to the success of our centre.
- Be a creative, hard-working team player, energetic, and flexible, with a positive and professional attitude.
- Registered Early Childhood Educator designation (Required)
- At least 2 to 4 years of experience in a childcare environment teaching in a classroom.
- Experience working with children in a Montessori environment is an asset.
- Standard First Aid CPR C+
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Immunization up to date (including a 2-step TB test)
Full-time
Salary:$22.00/hour to $24.00/hour
