Job Title: Community and Social Services Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Community and Social Services Worker to join our team at The Governing Council of The Salvation Army. As a key member of our community services team, you will play a vital role in providing support and services to individuals and families in need.

Job Summary:

The Community and Social Services Worker will be responsible for providing a range of services, including crisis intervention, case management, and community outreach. You will work closely with clients to assess their needs, develop service plans, and provide support and guidance to help them achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to individuals and families in crisis
  • Assess client needs and develop service plans to address their goals and objectives
  • Provide case management and support services to clients, including accompaniment to appointments and social outings
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support for clients
  • Maintain accurate records and statistics to inform program evaluation and research
Requirements:
  • College diploma or equivalent in a related field (e.g. social work, community development)
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a community services setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
