Job Title: Street Outreach Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Street Outreach Worker. In this role, you will work with vulnerable populations, providing support and connecting them with essential services.

Job Summary:

The Street Outreach Worker will work in a fast-paced environment, providing administrative and office activities, as well as appraising clients' needs and eligibility for specific services. You will also provide suicide and crisis intervention, resolve conflict situations, and maintain program statistics for evaluation and research purposes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare reports or case histories
  • Administrative and office activities
  • Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services
  • Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs
  • Provide suicide and crisis intervention
  • Resolve conflict situations
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients
  • Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • College/CEGEP or equivalent experience
  • Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
