The primary responsibility of the Logistics Project Coordinator will be to strategize, develop, and implement logistics solutions for heavy process equipment during the construction phase of our projects.

This role serves as a crucial link between Northvolt's equipment suppliers, designated Industrial Projects Logistics Service Providers (LSPs), logistical infrastructure partners, and the Northvolt Site Logistics Teams.

About Us:

In essence, our Project Logistics team is tasked with ensuring comprehensive logistical solutions for process equipment, from vendor delivery to installation, with a strong emphasis on Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (QHSSE), as well as adherence to schedules and budgets.

Your Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in logistics operations, particularly within an industrial project context. You excel at managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively. Your understanding of structured communication, especially across diverse cultures and time zones, is key to achieving clarity and aligning common objectives within set timeframes. You have a knack for building relationships and know how to celebrate successes while navigating challenges.

This position will be based at our facilities, with opportunities for travel to various locations.

In collaboration with the broader Northvolt Project Logistics Team, you will:

  • Oversee significant work scopes and projects within the Project Logistics organization.
  • Act as a representative for project logistics both internally and externally, engaging with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Explore and implement innovative approaches, methods, and techniques to enhance the effectiveness of the Project Logistics and the wider logistics department.
  • Conduct smaller logistics procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with LSPs and Northvolt colleagues to draft and refine Work Instructions, procedures, QHSSE protocols, and other standards to ensure optimal and safe logistical operations.
  • Promote QHSSE development, implementation, measurement, analysis, and optimization while fostering a culture of safety and quality.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Fluency in English.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with databases and ERPs.
  • Additional language skills, including Swedish, are a plus.
  • A valid driver's license is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A communicative and personable demeanor.
  • Highly organized and results-oriented.
  • Focused on delivering effective solutions to stakeholders.
  • Service-minded with a commitment to creating a positive experience.
  • A proactive attitude and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Analytical skills to identify improvements and recognize patterns from limited data.
