Chef Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at 1911980 ONTARIO LIMITED. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns
  • Prepare food order summaries for chef
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a team environment
