Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at PHSA. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting various internal departments throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial information of projects, assisting with operational reviews, internal controls, and business process improvements.
  • Develop business cases, budgets, forecasts, and benefits analysis to support project and operational decision making.
  • Provide leadership in monitoring, assessing, interpreting, highlighting, and reporting on financial and project/operational area performance.
  • Gather information through research and analysis to build spreadsheets, tables, charts, graphs, and reports to summarize information.
  • Monitor and analyze operational and financial information for the project's operations.
  • Forecast results and create reports for the Leadership Team.
  • Build partnerships with program managers and key stakeholders across internal programs and services, as well as across health care authorities.

Requirements

  • A level of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Finance/Financial Analytics, or other related field.
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA).
  • 2-4 years+ experience with project and operational financials.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel as well as Financial Reporting.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Superior analytical skills and strong presentation skills.
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act.
  • As a strong asset for consideration, we are looking for our successful candidate to have: Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).
