Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Road Maintenance Technician to join our team at Webber Infrastructure Management Canada Limited. As a key member of our infrastructure maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our roadways and infrastructure assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on roadways, bridges, and other infrastructure assets.
  • Set up and remove traffic control devices, including cones, message boards, and temporary signage.
  • Repair and maintain bridge structures, including railings, expansion joints, and painting.
  • Transport crew and equipment to work sites, operating large trucks and specialized motor vehicles.
  • Perform litter and debris removal, and maintain a clean appearance of highways and medians.
  • Repair and maintain slopes, berms, culverts, drains, and other infrastructure assets.
  • Control vegetation growth and appearance through lawn mowing, trimming, and chemical spraying.
  • Repair and maintain signs, guardrails, fences, and lighting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of work experience in infrastructure maintenance and repair preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
  • Class DZ/AZ driver's license and OTM Book 7 highly desirable.
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to traffic and outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, fume or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be more than moderate at times.

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk on a wide range of surfaces, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.

The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and use manual and powered pneumatic, hydraulic, gas, and electric powered tools and equipment.

The employee must have the ability to pass a fit test for a respirator as required and work at heights and in confined spaces.
