KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive new business sales in personal insurance by assessing client needs, implementing marketing strategies, and leveraging existing accounts to gather detailed risk and underwriting information, fostering strong relationships to successfully close sales.
  • Deliver outstanding service to clients by providing expert advice on insurance matters, evaluating their requirements, and suggesting tailored solutions through cross-selling additional policies.
  • Cultivate and oversee client relationships with both new and existing customers.
  • Execute renewal and follow-up communications to sustain relationships and uphold high service standards.
  • Prepare documentation, including applications, issuing insurance certificates, processing changes, and advocating for clients to ensure excellent retention rates.
  • Stay informed about current underwriting guidelines, product offerings, and other industry-related updates.
  • Establish positive working relationships with internal teams and external partners, including networking at industry events.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bilingual; proficient written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
  • Post-secondary education or relevant business experience.
  • Previous experience in Personal Lines is advantageous.
  • Licensed or pursuing CAIB designation is a plus.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of the insurance market is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills, adaptability, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail, along with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, client-oriented, and a collaborative team player.
  • Enthusiasm for sales.
