Textile Care Specialist

This role is an integral part of the Housekeeping & Laundry department, tasked with delivering laundry services to the residents within the facility. Responsibilities encompass sorting, washing, drying, and folding various laundry items, alongside ensuring the cleanliness of laundry equipment and workspace. The position necessitates effective communication skills, the capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively, and an understanding of workplace safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sort and weigh soiled linens
  • Wash, dry, and neatly fold laundered items
  • Carry out minor repairs and distribute laundry to residents
  • Order necessary supplies and oversee linen quotas
  • Address inquiries and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and manage emergencies
  • Report any concerns to the Supervisor
  • Perform other assigned duties as required

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in operating laundry machinery
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Knowledge of workplace safety standards
  • Basic computer literacy

Preferred

  • Prior experience in laundry services

Working Environment

  • Involves physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items
