About the Role

Fame Textile Canada Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns, including GST/HST and corporate income tax.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: College diploma or equivalent in accounting or a related field.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficient in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliable, and a team player.
