Job Title: Construction Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Etro Construction Limited. As a key member of our estimating department, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate and detailed estimates for our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimating: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Pre-qualification Submissions: Prepare pre-qualification submissions to present to clients, highlighting our company's capabilities and expertise.
  • Blueprint Analysis: Read and analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure that estimates are accurate and comprehensive.
  • Software Proficiency: Operate CADD and other computer software systems to prepare estimates and manage project data.
  • Estimate Reports: Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms to clients and stakeholders.
  • Contract Management: Monitor and adjust contract expenditures to ensure that projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
  • Supply and Contractor Directory: Maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors to ensure that estimates are accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
