About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Etro Construction Limited. As a key member of our estimating team, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs for construction projects
  • Develop pre-qualification submissions to present to clients
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems to prepare estimates
  • Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads
  • Conduct economic feasibility studies and provide preliminary estimates for proposed projects
  • Prepare and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms
  • Utilize quantity take-off procedures to ensure accuracy
  • Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
  • Maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in construction estimating
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in CADD and other computer software systems
