Your Role and Responsibilities
This full-time position focuses on positively impacting individuals' lives and the future of clean energy. You will utilize your expertise to be part of an innovative team, making a significant difference for our stakeholders. As an HR Operations & Labour Relations Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, implementing, and assessing employee and labour relations strategies, ensuring alignment with best practices.
- Fostering a collaborative labour relations environment by providing consistent guidance on collective agreements and maintaining constructive relationships with union representatives.
- Conducting research and offering recommendations regarding collective agreement interpretations and resolutions of labour relations issues.
- Coordinating the recruitment of trades and apprentices through relevant union channels.
- Leading initiatives and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of negotiating and adhering to collective agreements.
- Managing grievance meetings and preparing case files, including conducting background research on specific issues.
- Building relationships with key stakeholders to ensure fair and equitable labour relations practices.
- Ensuring compliance with legal requirements related to employee management, partnering with the legal department as necessary.
- Providing performance management guidance to line management, including coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
- Conducting thorough and objective investigations into workforce issues, leading to fair resolutions.
- Developing accountable leadership focused on an engaged employee culture that emphasizes quality and continuous improvement.
- Collaborating with management and employees to enhance work relationships, boost morale, and improve productivity and retention.
- Advising management on compensation strategies, including salary planning and job descriptions.
This position may require occasional travel. Together, we will enable the provision of clean, safe, and economical low-carbon energy to meet global sustainability goals.
