Key Responsibilities- Tool and Equipment Management: Assist in the movement and organization of tools, equipment, and materials to ensure efficient workflow.
- Site Support: Provide assistance to tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
- Cleanliness and Maintenance: Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and healthy working condition.
As a Mechanic Assistant, you will be working in a fast-paced outdoor environment with varying weather conditions. You will be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in areas with potential hazards. It is essential to be physically fit and able to handle heavy loads.
Requirements- Physical Demands: The role requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. You must be able to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with team members and tradespersons.
- Teamwork: A strong team player with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
The successful candidate will be required to work up to 40 hours per week in a permanent position. The work language is English, and the candidate must be legally able to work in Canada.
