Position Overview

The HVAC and Power Equipment Technician is responsible for performing diagnostics and repairs on various equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. This role is vital in maintaining the quality and reliability of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts both basic and advanced diagnostics on a variety of equipment, documenting the status pre- and post-rental.
  • Communicates effectively with customers and team members regarding equipment issues and repairs.
  • Ensures all equipment is serviced and repaired to meet operational standards.
  • Follows safety protocols as established by management, including maintaining company vehicles.
  • Performs diagnostics on Power, Pump, HVAC, Load Bank, and Compressor equipment.
  • Keeps accurate service records and processes warranty claims as necessary.
  • Conducts preventative maintenance and repairs on assigned Pump & Power equipment.
  • Installs gas hoses for propane and natural gas applications, ensuring safe connections.
  • Maintains detailed documentation of projects, including daily logs and progress reports.
  • Collaborates with Service Managers and Rental Operations to uphold rental equipment standards.
  • Responsible for the safe disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with company policies.
  • Available for on-call emergency service as required.
  • Completes necessary documentation in the Wynne system, including SMFs and warranty orders.
  • Communicates equipment status to customers and determines the need for replacements.
  • Obtains and maintains required site and customer-specific documentation.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in repairing and maintaining Power & HVAC equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of basic refrigeration principles (EPA Certified).
  • Understanding of electrical engines and controllers.
  • Familiarity with dehumidification equipment and generators.
  • Knowledge of compressed air treatment systems.
  • Able to interpret electrical schematics and hydraulic flow diagrams.
  • Strong project management and customer service skills.
  • Experience with similar equipment is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

The role requires the ability to bend, squat, and lift up to 25 pounds or more. Candidates should be prepared for driving long distances, loading and unloading heavy equipment, and working in various weather conditions.
