Work Environment

The technician will work primarily in a repair setting, focusing on the maintenance and enhancement of telecommunications services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the functionality of telecommunications apparatus
  • Install, configure, and maintain telephone systems, wiring, and related hardware
  • Diagnose and rectify faulty telecommunications equipment
  • Analyze testing outcomes and make necessary adjustments to switching systems, networks, and associated software
  • Document and maintain service and testing reports
  • Identify the nature and source of technical issues
  • Utilize computerized testing systems to perform service evaluations on customer lines and equipment
