Position Overview
The College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC is seeking a dedicated Registration Administrative Coordinator to provide essential administrative support to the registration department.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the registration department with various administrative tasks, including:
- Organizing and retrieving documents, records, and reports for review and approval
- Responding to inquiries via telephone and email, and directing them as necessary
- Drafting and replying to standard correspondence
- Compiling and distributing correspondence through email or postal services
- Creating reports and preparing presentations
- Sorting and managing incoming correspondence
- Verifying information and updating relevant databases
- Collaborating with other departments to refresh materials such as questionnaires and notifications
- Providing support and following up on inquiries from registrants regarding registration and licensure
- Leading or assisting with special projects related to the registration department
- Carrying out additional duties as required
Decision-Making and Accountability
The Registration Administrative Coordinator will work collaboratively to support departmental procedures while adhering to organizational bylaws and policies. This role requires independent work and the application of critical thinking skills to fulfill responsibilities effectively.
Work Environment
This position operates in a dynamic environment with frequent interruptions, necessitating the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential, as the coordinator will interact with various levels of staff and external partners.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven initiative, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines consistently
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong editing and proofreading capabilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $48,278 to $60,347 annually.
