About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Assistant to join our team at FortisBC. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support in the operation and maintenance of our facilities, ensuring a safe and inclusive work environment for our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Operations: Provide first point of contact for facility operations and maintenance requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Facilities Security: Support the operation and maintenance of our company security system, ensuring accurate access levels and system monitoring.
  • Office Services: Coordinate the provisioning of office furniture and equipment, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the manager and team, including data entry, invoicing, and budget preparation.
Requirements
  • Education: Grade 12
  • Experience: 18 months recent, related experience
  • Skills: Knowledge of facility operations and maintenance, facility security systems, and administrative software (MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Other: Valid BC Driver's License, ability to read space planning layout drawings, and excellent communication skills
