About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Facilities Assistant to join our team at FortisBC. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the facilities team, including data entry, record-keeping, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Assist with the coordination of facility maintenance and repairs, including scheduling and tracking work orders.
  • Support the implementation of facility security protocols and procedures.
  • Assist with the procurement and inventory management of office supplies and equipment.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Grade 12
  • Eighteen (18) months recent, related experience
  • Knowledge of Facility Operations and Maintenance and Facility security systems
  • Sound working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software (MS Office, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Intermediate level keyboarding skills
  • Ability to read space planning layout drawings
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and work within demanding work schedules
  • Customer service skills
  • Valid BC Drivers License
