Maintenance Mechanic I

Job Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic I is accountable to the Maintenance Supervisor and also has a dotted line reporting relationship to the Production Manager. This role is responsible for all activities relating to the repair, modification and preventive maintenance on production and supporting equipment in order to maintain production and in accordance with the requirements outlined in Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues using technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Conduct regular inspections and tests to identify potential issues and prevent equipment failures.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Production Manager to develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans.
- Assist in the fabrication of replacement parts and equipment as needed.
- Support the Production team by providing maintenance and repair services as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and equipment performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Respond to emergency situations and participate in the Emergency Response Team as needed.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of company policies, procedures, and quality standards.

- 433 A Millwright/Trade certification
