Job Title: Supermarket Meat Cutter

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Meat Cutter to join our team at marché du faubourg Greenfield Park INC.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting and preparing meats for sale, as well as maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cutting and preparing meats for sale, including cutting carcasses, sides, and quarters
  • Preparing special cuts of meat ordered by customers
  • Cutting, trimming, and preparing standard cuts of meat
  • Wrapping and packaging prepared meats
  • Removing bones from meat
  • Weighing meats for sale
  • Cutting poultry into parts
  • Cleaning and preparing fish and shellfish
  • Selling meats to customers
  • Cutting fish into steaks and fillets
  • Grinding meats
  • Making special sausages
  • Slicing cooked meats
  • Preparing special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products
  • Shaping, lacing, and tying roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood
Requirements:
  • Meat Cutter Trade Certification
  • Experience working in a butcher shop or supermarket meat department
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
