Position Overview

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary school or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience: On-the-job training will be provided.
Work Environment
  • Expect a noisy atmosphere with potential odours and dust.
  • Work will be conducted in cold/refrigerated settings.
Job Responsibilities
  • Perform the slaughtering of livestock and efficiently remove inedible parts from carcasses.
  • Expertly cut meat and poultry into specified portions for wholesale distribution.
Safety and Security
  • A criminal record check is mandatory.
Transportation Requirements
  • Personal transportation is necessary for commuting.
Physical Demands
  • Tasks may be repetitive and physically demanding.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are essential.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Weight Handling
  • Must be capable of handling weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
