About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Butcher to join our team at marché du faubourg Greenfield Park INC. as a Supermarket Butcher.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and prepare meats for processing or cutting, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
  • Cut and trim carcasses, sides, and quarters to meet customer demands.
  • Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers, utilizing knowledge of meat cutting techniques.
  • Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat, adhering to company guidelines.
  • Wrap and package prepared meats, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Remove bones from meat, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Weigh meats for sale, accurately recording weights and quantities.
  • Cut poultry into parts, following established procedures.
  • Clean and prepare fish and shellfish, adhering to food safety protocols.
  • Sell meats to customers, providing excellent customer service and product knowledge.
  • Cut fish into steaks and fillets, meeting customer expectations.
  • Grind meats, utilizing various grinding techniques.
  • Make special sausages, adhering to company recipes and guidelines.
  • Slice cooked meats, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products, enhancing store visual appeal.
  • Shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood, meeting customer demands.
Requirements
  • Meat Cutter Trade Certification.
  • Experience with band saws, manual cutting utensils, power grinders, sausage machines, and slicing machines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Physically demanding role requiring handling of heavy loads.
