Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Professor of Phonology to join our faculty at the University of Ottawa. As a Professor of Phonology, you will be responsible for teaching and developing courses in phonology, as well as conducting research in this field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in phonology, including phonetic transcription, phonological theory, and phonological acquisition.
  • Develop and implement curriculum for phonology courses, including course materials and assessments.
  • Conduct research in phonology, including data collection, analysis, and publication of research findings.
  • Supervise graduate students in phonology, including thesis and dissertation supervision.
  • Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and professional development.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in linguistics with expertise in phonology.
  • Experience in university teaching is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
