Job Overview

The Manager, Engineering Services will lead our Engineering Infrastructure Services division in planning and delivering sustainable infrastructure services for the District. This role will be responsible for directing the identification and prioritization of work related to developing sustainable engineering infrastructure and services that meet the long-term needs of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Engineering Infrastructure Services division in planning and delivering sustainable infrastructure services
  • Direct the identification and prioritization of work related to developing sustainable engineering infrastructure and services
  • Act as the "Responsible Officer" under the District's Professional Practice Management Plan
  • Ensure engineering services activities are undertaken in accordance with established policies and sound professional engineering and administrative practices
Requirements
  • Background in engineering and planning, with a focus on civil infrastructure and transportation
  • Substantial knowledge of engineering practices and principles
  • Considerable experience in providing guidance and recommendations that balance competing objectives and trade-offs
  • Excellent judgement that considers long-term asset management, risk, funding, and priorities
