Job Title: Mental Health Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Edgewood Health Network Inc. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality case management, clinical treatment, and advocacy to clients with operational stress injury, post-traumatic stress disorder, and co-occurring mental health and addiction issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities, including recovery-oriented cognitive therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, narrative therapy, and trauma-informed care.
  • Identify treatment goals with clients and coordinate with broader clinical teams as needed.
  • Deliver psychoeducational and process groups using evidence-based modalities.
  • Coordinate case management and communication across inter-professional teams within the company and with external providers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop, implement, and follow up on patient aftercare plans, including referrals to peer-led recovery programs and community-based counseling.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Counselling, Social Work, Psychotherapy, or Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration in good standing with a professional body, such as CCPA, BCACC, CCAC, or BCCSW.
  • Experience in facilitating group programs and therapeutic groups is required.
  • Experience working in a residential mental health and addiction treatment setting is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of community resources and supports is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of multiple treatment modalities, including cognitive behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative therapy, and trauma-focused therapies.
