Job Title: Mental Health Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Edgewood Health Network Inc. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients with operational stress injury, post-traumatic stress disorder, and co-occurring mental health and addiction issues. You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans, coordinate care, and communicate with referral agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy sessions using modalities such as recovery-oriented cognitive therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, narrative therapy, and trauma-informed care.
  • Identify treatment goals with clients and coordinate care across broader clinical teams.
  • Deliver high-quality psychoeducational and process groups using evidence-based modalities.
  • Coordinate care and communicate with referral agencies, community providers, and other members of the circle of care.
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with company standards.
  • Liaise with clients' families, referral sources, and other stakeholders as clinically appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Counselling, Social Work, Psychotherapy, or Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration in good standing with a professional body, such as CCPA, BCACC, CCAC, or BCCSW.
  • Experience in a residential mental health and addiction treatment setting is an asset.
  • Knowledge of community resources and supports is an asset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
