Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Produce Department Manager to lead our produce team and drive sales and customer service in our Calgary, AB store. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring a high level of customer service while meeting production targets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Merchandise Management: Receive and process merchandise, utilize equipment effectively, and maintain accurate records and documentation.
  2. Salesfloor Presentation: Maintain a visually appealing salesfloor by stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, and setting up and maintaining product displays.
  3. Team Leadership: Participate in the recruitment, selection, training, and development of produce associates, and lead by example by greeting customers in a polite and friendly manner.
  4. Inventory Management: Complete all aspects of the Produce Store Within A Store (SWAS) planning, attend SWAS meetings to review reports, and ensure in-stock and appropriate inventory levels in the produce department.
  5. Claims and Returns: Ensure proper handling of claims and returns, secure merchandise, and maintain a safe work environment.
  6. Administrative Tasks: Complete and maintain required paperwork, such as inventory tracking reports, throwaway record sheets, invoices, and assignment notes.
